I'm Parul Sao, the artist and creator behind this handcrafted ceramic haven nestled in the vibrant city of Bengaluru, India.
A Creative Foundation
My creative journey stems from a background deeply intertwined with architecture and design, offering me a unique perspective on forms and materials at a macro level. Originating from a quaint town in Chhattisgarh, my upbringing was defined by an inherent affinity for hands-on activities and inventive thinking.
From the sheer delight of crafting my own toys to relishing the intricate process of constructing models during my tenure in architecture school, my path has been marked by a profound passion for hands-on expression and explorations. It was a serendipitous turn when I enrolled in a hand-building workshop, and there, amidst the malleable nature of clay, I discovered my true calling.
The Journey
Fueled by enthusiasm, I embarked on a transformative journey to deepen my understanding of ceramics. In 2022, I immersed myself in a 7-month program at Golden Bridge Pottery in Puducherry, India. Founded by Ray Meeker and Deborah Smith in the 1970s, GBP is renowned for its legacy of producing unique and masterful pieces, fostering a tradition of excellence that sees the emergence of talented artists year after year.
During my time at GBP, I delved into the intricacies of clay and ceramics, honing my skills in techniques for making and firing pots in a wood-fired kiln. The experience not only allowed me to explore the artistic aspect but also provided insights into the scientific principles underlying this beautiful art form.

This immersive experience solidified my love for ceramics and set the course for my artistic trajectory. Today, I draw inspiration from the limitless possibilities that clay offers, continually pushing the boundaries of my creativity to bring my unique vision to life.
