This in-depth 14-session workshop (3 hours per session) is designed for intermediate throwers who want to refine their skills and create captivating, complex forms.

Prerequisite: Completion of a beginner's wheel throwing course with basic centering skills
(500-600 grams clay).

Here's what you get:

  • 14 immersive sessions: Deepen your pottery knowledge with expert guidance and ample practice time.

  • 20 kgs of sandalwood clay: Get creative with a generous supply of high-quality clay for your projects.

  • Studio access & tools: Utilize all the studio tools you need to shape your intricate creations.

  • Glazing & firing magic: Unleash your creativity with a dedicated glazing session and firing for up to 6 of your masterpieces (ideally 2 of each form).

  • Open Studio access (optional): Brush up your throwing skills before the class begins with additional open studio sessions (at an extra cost).

The curriculum will cover:

  • Advanced clay techniques: Master spiral wedging and learn to center larger clay quantities for ambitious projects.

  • Traditional artistry: Delve into the art of throwing functional pitchers, complete with spouts and beautiful handles.

  • Elegant forms: Learn to craft narrow neck-bellied forms and elegant vases that will add a touch of sophistication to any space.

  • Lidded wonders: Explore creating both traditional and contemporary lidded jars, adding a functional touch to your repertoire.

  • Knob mastery: Understand the art of trimming and attaching various types of knobs to your lids for a cohesive and personalized finish.

  • Finishing touches: Learn the proper methods for cleaning and waxing your bisque ware before glazing.

  • Glaze mastery: Unleash your creativity by learning to mix glazes and apply them for stunning results.

  • Kiln introduction: Gain an essential introduction to the basics of kiln loading for a successful firing process.

  • 6 fired pieces: Showcase your beautifully crafted complex forms with pride! (2 of each form, if possible)

  • Open studio access (optional): Continue honing your skills outside of class time (additional cost applies).

Flexible scheduling: Choose your preferred time slot with weekday (3-4 day options) and weekend classes available.
(10:00 AM - 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM).

The workshop fee of ₹22,500 includes taxes, all materials (including 20 kgs of sandalwood clay), glazes, and firing for your first 6 pieces. Additional pieces can be fired for a small extra cost.
